Kind of feel like we've entered a vague circle of consensus. Rams out-leverage Donald, and will probably win.
If you want to be upset at the fact that Donald & his agent are misplaying their hand, I won't stop you...but I fail to see why that's worth getting worked up about. Who cares if he does or doesn't get a deal? He will learn from this and move on.
To say he's hurting the team with all this seems a little silly to me. The coaching staff and players all understand how this business works. When he comes back, he will go back to consuming the souls of offensive linemen.
It's not like he's a QB learning an entirely new offensive playbook. Donald is staying in shape, and the mental responsibilities of a DT are not rocket science, even if he's transitioning to a new scheme. I'm not worried about him at all.
