It doesn't matter if the Rams have offered him a lot, all that matters is if they offer him what he's worth, as dictated by the market. Maybe Donald's expectations ARE too high, and maybe he'll find that out if he's a free agent next year.
I still just keep coming back to the outrage. Why do you guys care if he's holding out? Maybe it works, and he gets the contract he wants now. Maybe it doesn't, and he gets his contract next year.
Yes, I too would like him in training camp right now. He's got work to do adapting to Wade's scheme, etc., and maybe this conversation will be worth revisiting if Donald's performance is anything less than stellar come time for the regular season. But his talent is so massive that I seriously doubt that will be the case.
You still don't seem to understand the leverage the Rams have here... HE IS NOT AN UNRESTRICTED FREE AGENT.
The Rams can control his rights for the next 4 years and get away with paying him about $40,000,000 with no guarantee and no signing bonus. How does he or anybody not understand that is beyond me.
The Rams will not be held hostage by him....we went 4-12 last year with him, I'm sure we can do that with out him too.
