You can try to spin all the stats you want, but most everybody(fans and experts) agree that the guy is a going to be a Hall of Fame inductee when he is done with this game.
I understand he wants to get paid, but if the Rams have all the leverage , then I have no problem with them using it....
I do agree or assert that no DT has ever gotten off to this kind of start, ever, and I think Larry Brooks and D'Marco Farr would agree with me here. I think Gath Brooks and Jamie Farr would too, for that matter.
But he needs another 5-6 years of this kind of play to be HOF and I hope this new scheme, even with all the things thy are doing to keep his as a pure 3-tech, doesn't queer his performance and his chances at HOF.
But Donald has been First-team All-Pro twice and 3 Pro Bowls in 3 years and only an oldtime NFL DT and an AFL tackle have done that---no one, Joe Greene. Page, Olsen, Lilly didn't get off to as good a start. And no DT, since 1982 has as many sacks in his first 3 years as Donald.
So, he's on pace for HOF. No doubt. Just has to sustain it through 2022 or so
