How many of those 1st and 2nd down sacks the opposition then went on to make a new to stick with Davis's logic? If they were helping turn the ball over then they're exponentially more useful than if they just slowed the offense down a tad.
Also, how can you determine other effects his sacks and disruption have on the opposition such as knocking their timing off or causing them to change their game plan etc?
Stats are great, but they can be made to say almost anything.
Not that I'm saying you're wrong, you have probably forgotten more about this game than I know, just playing devil's advocate.
