***You mean the same Case Keenum that Jeff Fisher had cut before? The same Case Keenum that Fisher made backup to the great Nick Foles? The same Case Keenum that Fisher eventually put on the bench in favor of Jared Goff even though Goff was worse? That was "Fisher's guy?"***
That's the one, Mr. Football.
***I also did not recreate any history.***
Really? You do it virtually every time you make a post!
***I get you want to put and keep everything as far into the abstract as possible and avoid any actual useful reference points and more concrete comparisons because you lose badly on any actual useful analysis.***
What's so abstract about suggesting that Jared Goff, placed in the hammock Dak Prescott found himself, would have likely looked one helluva lot different than the mess he had in Los Angeles? What is so abstract about that? How do you suppose Joe Montana would have turned out if he had been drafted by Detroit or Atlanta rather than San Francisco? Suppose they'd be renaming libraries in his honor today?
The point is ... Prescott found himself in a highly desirable position in Dallas. Great offensive line. Great No. 1 receiver. Great fresh-legged running back. Outstanding coaching from a group of people who actually knew what they were doing.
Go ahead. Defend Fisher as an offensive genius. And Rob Boras. And Chris Weinke. And Mike Groh.
Go ahead and do that ... and then tell me more about abstract thought.
Please.
