Not that I know any better. But every year the pundits make predictions post draft on who had "good" drafts and who didn't. It goes by a combination of the guys who pick highest always get better grades (duh) and teams that are successful get good grades (I don't care if the Pats drafted Serena Williams as an Edge Rusher they'd get an A"winking smiley.

I remember when the Cowboys picked Fredericks in the first round. The media declared that Jerry Jones had finally completely lost it. He drafted a late 2nd, early 3rd round CENTER (of all things) in mid 1st round!! Insane! Stupid! Amatuerish! Get a real GM! Hello perennial All-Pro. Ever hear any mea culpas?

The thing is, a couple of years down the line nobody goes back and compares the outcome to what they say now.
It's a show, guys. It's guys who are on TV and Radio because they're good at TV and Radio. They're not necessarily right about much of anything. They just have their favorites like we all do and they are glib and engaging.

They were completely ga-ga over RG3 and Kap. Luck was in the HOF year 1. Not a word anymore.

As for Reynolds; I listened to so much pre-draft media I could puke. NEVER did I hear Josh Reynolds mentioned. Now suddenly Reynolds was a great pick and could have been taken higher....blah, blah, blah.

NOBODY predicted that Engram would be taken as early as 18th (at least that I heard or read).

When Donald was selected by the Rams nobody yelled "he'll be the best D player in the draft!", so he should be the first pick of the draft. Now he is spoken of as no doubt the best DT, maybe the best Dlineman, in the NFL.

Nobody knew Tom Brady would be Tom Brady or that Russell Wilson would be Russell Wilson.

I used to get mad at this stuff. No more. The talking heads are just doing their job. Talking. Filling air space and entertaining. And saying level headed things isn't what it's about it. Saying outrageous things is what gets you notice.

2 or 3 years from now, we'll have a much better idea whether Snead was right or wrong on this draft. If the odds hold true, about half these guys will stick. The issue is which ones and just how good or bad will they be.

Far more important is how those they keep will be developed. And Fisher and company were absolutely horrible at development .......at least on the O side of the ball. Better on the D side for sure.
