If they could get 900+ yards and 9 TDs from scrimmage from him (as he did in 2015) consistently then great, I'd get off his case. Still wouldn't justify his draft status and contract extension in my opinion. But I'd be OK with him. He has to be able to do that this year or move on.
It also gets under my skin that as a punt returner he averages just 7.7 yards/return (combined 2015-16). Very sub-par, especially on a good ST unit. If he was a Devin Hester or Darren Sproles or even Julian Edelman back there he'd get a lot more slack from fans but he's not.
Ah but as a punt returner he is also tied for second and behind only 2 others in getting return TDs since he was drafted.
So I am fine with the PR stuff too. There's only 4 guys who have 3 or 4 return TDs in that span, and he is one of them.
