I know, I know . . . He's a rookie, and he has a Swiss Cheese line, no receivers,...c. But, if I'm just zooming in on Goff, and no one else, I'm just not seeing him play within any pattern that matches up with all of that, with his context.
Well as a rule, how many rookie qbs have you ever seen playing under those conditiosn who DID play well.
You want to know what a talented rookie qb looks like when there is no running game, the OL is playing poorly, and the receivers are mediocre?
Like Goff has.
Yet...somehow, you think that says something about Goff?
So again---how many rookie qbs have you seen with no running game, leaky protection, and mediocre receivers who DID look good according to your criteria?
In contrast to you, in the midst of the chaos, I CAN see the unique talents Goff brings to the game. It's there, in the middle of all the mayhem. It CAN be seen.
...
I get what you're saying and to a large extent agree, but to suggest that how Goff is playing has nothing to do with how good Goff is, is a tad out there.
There is nothing either good or bad, but thinking makes it so.
