Either way, there's nothing telling me that's a bad play.
And of course the real problem was Quick not getting the audible and being in a position to make that play. You can argue all night whether throwing fades to Quick is a good play or not, without getting anywhere really, but you cannot argue Quick executed what he was asked to do. That trumps all other considerations IMO.

No one is defending Quick. Just a red herring. Typical kind of tactic.
I didn't say anyone WAS defending Quick. I said Quick's mistake trumps all other considerations. "You cannot argue" is just synonymous with phrases like "and it can't be denied that" or "there is no doubt that he didn't" etc. or "one absolutely sure thing in this is that" etc. You just read that wrong.
Quick did not execute what he was supposed to and to me that trumps all other considerations. Therefore to me, spending time talking about Keenum throwing fades to the endzone etc. and other nuances of the qb's play does not seem relevant. I personally don't even get the point of that--I have no doubt that he can not only do it but has done it practice and will again in games, if he's still the starter. Quick ****ed up. We agree on that. You want to convince us that Keenum should not have thrown a particular pass. I get personally nothing from that...it just strikes me as interesting, but implausible. That;s just my own vote on that.
So you misconstrue that statement on Quick, and then get in a pointless personal jab about "tactics." Okay. Sign that a conversation has outrun its value.
And, good night.
