I assume it is a good play, sure. There's certainly no reason to assume it isn't that I can see. Doing it once means they can do it AND probably indicates they work on it extensively. After all, they audibled into a play that was a set option, and the entire point of the set option was to give Quick a chance to make a play the way they undoubtedly had in practice many times. Otherwise why put it in as an option for Keenum to exploit when he saw the chance to do it.
Either way, there's nothing telling me that's a bad play.
And of course the real problem was Quick not getting the audible and being in a position to make that play. You can argue all night whether throwing fades to Quick is a good play or not, without getting anywhere really, but you cannot argue Quick executed what he was asked to do. That trumps all other considerations IMO.
