EXACTLY.
The commercials have moved to beyond obnoxious. Games start at 1:03 now because of more commercials. The old "Score. Timeout. Commercial. Kickoff/touchback. Commercial." Seven minutes of real life, a few kicks.
I love the NFL like nothing else, but I am sloooowly losing interest because of the commercials, overhyping, bad football, penalties way up; they are killing the sport I believe mostly due to greed.
The NFL knows they are THE ticket for over-the-air TV. I think they had 63 of the top 100 watched events on regular TV last year.
But they are so greedy.
Hell, even NFL Radio on Sirius/XM has loooooooooooong commercial breaks and they come out of it for the hosts to then spend another minute pimping some product.
I am slowly losing interest. I can only imagine the casual fan...
