I get and agree with the point about the league sending less than marquee teams/match-ups to London. But I don't think that's an issue. Maybe for west coast viewership who just aren't going to get up at 6:30AM Sunday to view. Actually, it will be interesting to see the ratings in California for this Sunday's Rams game.
I actually like the Sunday Night games and am more likely to watch those than MNF now. Maybe I'm wrong but they usually seem like better games.
I just
really dislike the weekly Thursday night games. By getting every team on the Thursday night schedule it guarantees bad match-ups vs MNF and SNF at least trying hard to only schedule good to decent (7-9 or better the previous year) teams. Plus the road team is at a
major disadvantage and in 90% of cases will lose and the games are often sloppy because teams just barely practice.
Then you watch NFL Network on a Tuesday discussing the MNF game and there's that ridiculous 'countdown clock'- 41 hours, 17 minutes to Jaguars vs. Chiefs! Enough....
Plus a minor irritation I have- the 3rd Thanksgiving Day game. Too much...
So have two UK games, fine. But get back to two Thanksgiving games, ditch the Thursday schedule entirely, and have a couple of those novelty Saturday games in December when college football has died down. I always liked those.
