Some guys are going to be true believers every year, no matter what happened in the past.
Nothing wrong with that. It's a style, and an approach to fanship.

Some fans are going to need more convincing after years of bad or mediocre results.

Now for one fan, 3-1 might be good enough to convince them that something has changed.

For another fan it might be 4-1. Or winning a particular type of trap game that has tripped them up in the past.

For another fan it might take finishing the season with a winning record, or a playoff appearance, before they start to relent on what they've come to think about the Jeff Fisher Rams.

The goal is to win a championship. Anything short of that will always generate some discontent. Look at Chuck Knox getting fired after 6 straight playoff appearances, many times going to the conference championship, because he couldn't get them over the final hump.

Right now in Arizona, Arians is under a ton of heat about being 1-3, after 2 very good seasons before that propelling them to the high ranks of the NFL. Nothing unusual about it if you look anywhere around the NFL.

Fans want to win. That's what they're in it for. That's how it is.

I think Ram fans have been very patient. The people that post on this board are the real die-hards, hanging in there for well over a decade now of losing.

No point in haranguing those kind of people for not being good enough fans, imo.
