Sunday is D-Day for me as concerns the Rams.
Right now, I'm not at all ready to jump on the bandwagon. These wins have been too fragile, and especially for a team who has obvious flaws (such as not being able to run, and the pass game coming in fits and starts).
Grits: Your not ready to jump on the bandwagon? So Seattle has no flaws and AZ has no flaws and SF has no flaws? But the Rams have too many flaws? Yet the Rams are 3-1 and beat both Seattle and AZ. Held Seattle to 3 points and AZ to 13.
PSJ Ram: Not seeing where there was any mention of other teams and their flaws, or lack of them in RR’s post. The concept was about the Rams flaws. What’s the point of your reply here?
If they win against a good Bills team that is on a roll, at LA, on Sunday, then I'll believe.
Until then, no way. Rams are notorious for beating the NFC West, but losing to non-division opponents.
Grits: The Bills are 2-2 and fired their OC two weeks ago. Their 16-0 win in New England on Sunday I'd say is equal to the Rams 9-3 win over the Seahawks except the Rams faced at top QB in Wilson and the Bills faced a kid QB in Brissett.
PSJ Ram: Your response here only supports the original post. Most would say that a team that that fired there OC 2 weeks in to a season and shut out a team, on the road, that hadn’t been shut out in many, many years, would suggest they are a “good” team. And, the stats prove that the Rams do compete well in the NFC West but are really bad against non-division opponents. What’s your problem with that statement?
Believe me; I'm rooting hard for the Rams to prove it to me. But after more than a decade of disappointment, I'm not anywhere near ready to say that they are for real.
Grits: The whole 16 game season is about proving it for every team. My guess is you will be back down in the dumps as soon as they lose any game and will be the first to says "See I told you so"
PSJ Ram: The first few words of this statement clearly state that RR is pulling for his team, the Rams. Why are you bagging so hard on the post. Blind faith doesn’t make you more of a fan, nor does it make your posts more valuable or intelligent than any other poster. Moreover, I’ve been reading posts on this board for a long time I don’t see where RR has ever not been a “fan” nor been an “I told you so” type of poster. What premise do you base this statement upon?
And I am certain that if the Rams win Sunday, no matter how big or small the margin, stringing 4 victories in a row together, they will start getting some serious media attention and will move up to about the #10 spot in most Power Rankings.
Grits: If you have paid attention they are getting serious media attention right now.
PSJ Ram: Yep, the media is generally saying the same thing as RR has said in his post. Do a few more things to buck the trends of the previous decade, and we’ll start to believe. I haven’t seen any media saying that they believe the Rams are contenders. Have you? If so, please post a link and let it be a link to a real writer, not some kid blogging from his parent’s basement.
But the key is going to be the Oline playing a whole lot better than they did against the Cards.
Grits: Hmm, I think that the O-line did a nice job of protecting Keenum and AZ's oline got their QB (Palmer) hurt
got their QB (Palmer) hurt
PSJ Ram:We must have been watching different games. This was a game where the media and fans started to recognize that CK is more mobile than most thought. That’s because he was pressured a lot. Moreover, the O line isn’t opening any running lanes. I’ll give that the running lanes are tough to open vs. 8 or 9 in the box, but to say they played (or more specifically “protected”) well, would be a big difference in opinion from what I saw. Plus, there was no mention of the AZ OL. You adding that the Rams DL outplayed the AZ OL has nothing to do with the original post.

No predictions, here. Just a glimpse of hope.
