I want Fisher to turn it all around. But "turning it around" means that the direction they were headed was undesirable. We've yet to make .500 and have been blowing it for years. I want that to change. But it's gonna take some time to convince me it's changed. Not that I don't WANT to be convinced, but I'm not jumping at shadows in waiting for "the other shoe to drop" and the Rams to come apart on a big game. It's happened not once, but over and over and over for many years under Fisher.
He's spent years showing me who he is and who his teams are, and it's going to take some real, long-term results to think that's changed.
Fisher, Fisher, Fisher. You do realize the team was horse manure when Fisher took it over? What about blaming Spagnuola and Linehan?
Fisher has been building this roster which was a pile of you know what before he came on board. Yet all you and other short sighted Rams fans can do is blame him. Did you think it was going to be instant coffee to turn this team around?
Grits
C'mon, Grits.
Yeah, the team was horse manure in '11. But this is '16. An eternity for roster development in the NFL.
'Short sighted" Ram fans? Criticism of Fisher makes us "short sighted"? Five off seasons is not a short time in the NFL.
And "instant coffee"? Again, 5 years is a helluva long instant, don't you think?
Look, we've got really good D and ST units. I mean, really good.
But our O is struggling. By any objective measure, and frankly, that's being polite. We've won 3 straight, to be sure. But they were all last minute cliffhangers. That's gotta improve because we can't rely on winning indefinitely in that manner.
If Fisher and his coaches can get this O to start firing on all cylinders, then we will be in business. There have been a few flashes in the last 2 games, which is encouraging. So there is that.
But to attack Fisher critics when the Ram O is the problem seems kinda misplaced. At least to me.
