3-1 start and I'm ecstatic. Happy. I understand the team has not played a perfect game but still they have beaten quality opponents and won on the road.
To me that says a lot.
I just know those who have fallen in love with the Fire Fisher campaign are chomping at the bit because the last 3 weeks they have not had any ammunition to continue their campaign. I'm sure they are ready to pounce if the Rams lose on Sunday.
Too bad for them.
I am a Rams fan and I want Fisher to succeed because that means the Rams are succeeding and I thought that is what Rams fans would want.
Grits
Okay, Grits, I'll bite.
Just for the record, mind you...
1) You're hardly the only one thrilled by the 3-1 start. Who isn't thrilled about that? Yet you imply that some of us are not happy about the 3-1 record. Very strange.
2) There is no current "fire Fisher" campaign. Kroenke settled that last January when he opted to give Fisher his 5th year. So that issue has been officially postponed for the past 9 months.
3) To even suggest that a Ram fan would wish for a loss simply to provide some ammunition to criticize Fisher is kinda insulting, really.
4) All Ram fans want Fisher to succeed this year. Simply because we're all, well, Ram fans. But that certainly doesn't mean that we forfeit the right to second guess Fisher, any other coaches, players, or even the danged referees. That's part of the Bill of Rights of fandom.
I admire your loyalty, Grits. But Fisher has not been mistake free while with the Rams. As such, he should be held to account when necessary. That doesn't make the critic any less of a Ram fan.
And that's all I have to say about that...
