However...I still believe, and I think most of you do, that an acclimated Goff is going to be the better QB, and give us a better chance of winning games.
It;s not even most of us. I can't think of any exceptions at all.
Unless you mean there's a minority who believes Goff is no good.
But it;s not the majority who believes Goff is destined to be better all around than Keenum. It's everyone.
And so don't get me wrong...Goff will step in sooner rather than later and I am in favor of it. But unlike you, in the meanwhile I do not watch Keenum with this lurking sense that it could go wrong any minute.
I see this differently than you do. I don't know how much different, but different. A lot of people were convinced by the ARZ game to cut Keenum a break and trust him more than they had.
I am one of those people who already felt that way last year. Nothing I am seeing this year is any different from last year.
So name the last Rams qb where the team went at least 6-3 with him starting. That is after 9 starts they have 6 wins. I think you have to back to Bulger.
Heck if you count Houston, his last 11 starts his team has gone 8-3.
What's not to trust? Whatever it is that makes Keenum a gamer, he already had that last year. I already trust that in spite of some of the limits and struggles he has enough of the scrappy leader and "just win" gamer to make enough plays to help a defensive team win.
AND YES Goff gives you more in terms of fielding a franchise qb...that's why they drafted him.
I consider that a win-win situation.
Which doesn't even count Mannion, who may be a starting caliber qb too.
