I am saying that it is unfair on how you evaluate backup QBs and who are the best ones.
Basically, you are saying the best backups can't be considered because they really should be starters. That is the point. To have starter quality backups are the best backups.
It has nothing to do with what you were referring to? If Keenum turned into the next Kurt Warner, Trent Green, or even Bulger, I would be very happy.
the unfair is the evaluation part. That would be like having an all-pro backup team, but than excluding the top performers because they shouldn't be considered because they performed too good.
I am not discussing back-up qbs.
That';s your mistake. You keep not reading what I am saying. So read posts and respond to what people actually say.
I am discussing back-up CALIBER qbs.
Warner was not a back-up CALIBER qb. Was he.
In terms of qbs who we don't know about yet who are on the bench before starting?
I say we don;t know yet. (Example: Mannion.)
In terms of qbs who were on the bench, were unknowns, and THEN started and demonstrated they were starting CALIBER qbs? Like Warner, Bulger, Green, and Ferragamo?
That's just obvious and should not require an explanation from me.
That's it, it's the criteria I use, if you don't like it I will assume that's your prerogative, but, my criteria ain't changing...mostly because it just makes sense.
You can keep splitting hairs if you want but my criteria ain't changing. And this is a dumb thing to bicker about. Continue without me.
