maybe a little better, but not really.....if the Rams are gonna take it to the next level....Goff needs to play and be good
I agree that Goff is a step up. I doubt anyone would disagree. Or to put that emphatically, I doubt ANYONE would disagree.
However, I don't agree that Clemens, Hill, or Feeley are as good as Keenum.
In the last 12 years, the Rams have a winning record starting only one other #2 type qb--Jamie Martin (career with Rams, 4-3...just 2005, 4-1).
Here are all the others from 2005 on, in chronological order.
Fitzpatrick, 2005: 0-3.
Frerotte, 2007: 1-2
Berlin, 2007: 0-1
Green, 2008: 0-1
Boller, 2009: 0-4
Null, 2008: 0-4
Feeley, 2011: 1-2
Clemens, 2011 & 2013: 5-7
Davis, 2014: 3-5
Hill, 2014: 3-5
Keenum, 2015 & 2016: 5-3
Martin of course played with the GSOT offense in 2005.
Wins aren't on the qb alone of course, but it's a rough indicator to see whom the team could win with and whom they couldn't.
Beyond that it's what we each see. I see a better qb in Keenum than in those others. And that's even with his rough start in 2016
..
you aren't ranking these QB's by W's and L's?
LOL, this Ram team is light years better than the teams 3-4-5 years ago.
If Keenum played then or of those guys played now nothing would have changed except the names of the "winning" and "Losing" QB's...
R.I.P. Nelson aka TonyHunter87 1971 - 2017 far too soon..
Your last words to me: "Your a great guy RFIP. I was very sad when you left the board, and your son, but was glad to see you back. Take care my friend, may God be by your side." 09/09/2017 12:58AM
No Nelson, you were a far better man than I, and I am sure an awesome husband and father as well. I will miss you my friend. -RFIP
