The Rams recent history has been underselling players that we want to trade away. the Titans got a great deal when they took Jones and then proceeded to trade him to the Seahawks for more than we got for him.
I don't like trading Kupp, he's a favorite of mine, But I understand the business. We are asking a team to trade for him, take on his current contract and teams know we want to do this ASAP. all of those point to a late round pick or a swap of picks.
Let's face it, again, The Rams are not known for getting high picks for outgoing players. As my title reads, we will see, I hope I am wrong Because Kupp is still quite capable. But do other teams view him as worth that contract at this stage? Will there be a bidding war? or are we dealing with just a select few teams that Kupp wants to go to?
all it takes is two teams for a biding war....
Detroit and Washington are two teams I keep hearing would be very interested in a player like Kupp.
Won't be the first time the Lions took in a Rams cast off....
Rams should have not told Kupp their plans perhaps, but they have too much repsct for Kupp to not let him know what they are thinking....
I'm sure some money moves will go into some sort of trade....all we can do is hope for the best.
Might as well try to get something for him rahter than just cutting him....so even if we get a late pick it is better than nothing.
We've done pretty good lately with late picks
