I thought that Les had some support for Kendrick, but I'm sensing that trend is slipping.
As of now, I'd guess that Kendrick is one of the guys that's exposed to a lot of reps come those couple of preseason games.
He'd have to have some sort of immense camp to avoid that
I don't think anywhere round here expects that at all
I think that Shula is just tinkering with the various players for his defense. He will continue to mix-and-match until he sees the best fit for the starting four or five in the secondary. Kendrick will either rise or fall based upon Shula‘s observations.
Like you, I’m not overly optimistic about Kendrick being a major factor in this defense this year, barring injuries, but it’s impossible to fault Shula for attempting to see how all pieces of the puzzle fit together before the real bullets start flying in September.
