Like I said I get it but goodness... QBs get traded good ones. I never heard Bill Walsh apologize for trading for Steve Young and letting Montana eventually walk and he was a multiple SB champion and HOF QB
You knew this was gonna be the hot topic this week and it wasn’t exactly a parallel to the Young/ Montana situation…..in fact it was almost the exact opposite
They dumped the kid for an old guy…..not the usual dump the old guy for the new guy.
He didn’t exactly apologize for it, just acknowledged it could have been handled better
I respect McVay for recognizing that the optics weren’t great and how he could have handled it better, but it ended up working out for both teams in the end and that isn’t anything to apologize for
