How about putting some context on the 11-18 record.
The Rams organization totally sold out to win the first ever SB in SoFi. McVay pulled it off with a crap running game, and in the process kept the Niners from winning the SB in our house. The downside was the team was a mess last year and going into this year.
But hey, let's put the blinders on and look at 11-18, and not the fact that McVay took the Rams to 2 SBs and won one, let's instead say insane stuff like "I'm done with McVay." Yeah, let's slam him cause he doesn't run the ball as much as fans and so-called experts who never coached a SB winner say.
Are there things that McVay does that bother me, like his backup QB policy or not running enough? Sure. But, I'm far from being done on the best HC the Rams have had in my lifetime.
And yes, I expected 5 wins this year. Thats because I never expected McVay to get the extraordinary performances out of all these kids. Not one of them a first round pick. Who does that? I mean, these kids didn't even know how to practice in the NFL, forget about actually translating that to the field.
We got a poster saying he wants McVay out and Ben Johnson in as our HC. A guy who is a total unknown as a HC. Sanity alert.
There's an old saying "the grass is always greener on the other side."
Let's not forget the addendum to this old saying...
When you move to the other side and are standing in that grass you realize why it's greener. It's filled with manure.
For me, I'm staying in the SB winner McVay grass. And I'll let the other posters step in the horse manure.
