its because they do... its part of their identity... don't you understand that what people are saying running the ball has to be more a part of the identity of the Rams
McVay even said it... he changed his blocking scheme from primarily zone to power gap. He said he wanted to do that to be more physical... so he did it then didn't run the ball. Said things like against Cincy ...well they were in a look where we checked out of runs. The only look that should have forced the Rams out of attacking Cincy on the ground would be stacked boxes which they did not do
To play with the big boys you have to be physical and run the ball... all of those teams mentioned above are balanced... and none of them have an injury-prone 35-year-old QB playing behind an oline that has a liability at LT and Center
The Rams have to run the ball and have that be part of their offensive identity.
