I'm still not sure I want to see the Rams take a QB in earlier than from the 3rd round on.
But...if they did.... I think they ought to consider Bo Nix in the 2nd round if he's still there.
I wouldn't mind seeing an LT pick in round 1, Nix in round 2, and then whatever they think best going forward.
A good Oline can elevate the QB and RBs. We have 3/5th of a good oline right now. I think we need to get a LT and LG, move Avila to Center, keep Dotson, and with steady Havs we'll instantly have a solid oline.
The one player that I might change my mind on in round 1, if he's there, is that TE from Georgia. That dude is a game changer and someone the D has to game plan around the same way Kelsey makes the offense go for the Chiefs.
Let's also not forget FA. The Rams are going to be able to spend some money and they like to go with superstar skill players. With a full draft of mid to high picks in each round and a bunch of FA money, they're going to be a very different team in 2024...which is the plan.
As for LT, I prefer getting a good FA or trade. Someone with some experience and potential. I know that's not easy to do but surely someone is out there. It's just up to out scouts to figure out who that is.
I am not sure we have time to wait for a rookie LT to learn or develop let alone pick the the right one in the 1rst round of the Draft.
All I know is that our OL and DL need to be upgraded big time if we want to contend again.
#HelmetHornsMatter
“Well, the color is good, I like the metallic blue,” Youngblood recently said while laughing, via NFL Journal. “The horn is terrible. It looks like a ‘C.’ When I first saw it on the logo I honestly thought it was a Charger logo.
“Now when I see it on the helmet, it just isn’t a ram horn. There is no distinct curl like a mature ram horn. I don’t know how the Rams could get that wrong. That is your symbol and it has been for what? Seventy years or more? Longer than I have been alive? It’s just not us, it’s not the Rams.”---Mr. Ram Jack Youngblood
