Rampage2K-
Most people on this board thought we were gonna be trash, let alone the national media guys who wrote us off before the season started
Yet, here we are at 3-5 with the toughest schedule in NFL so far and have been in everyone of those games up until last week when the avalanche of bad @#$%& happened early…
Sure he has had some head scratchers here and there, but for the most part they have overachieved imo…if this team with 15 rookies and a bunch of other young no names gets anywhere near the playoffs he will be considered for coach of the year by some in the media after most had us at 5 wins this year.
I agree R2K. Yes, some questionable coaching decisions have been made but you can say that about every team at one point or another. Like ClassicalWit said in another post, at some point you have to point the finger at the players (paraphrasing). I've watched every game and have seen MANY mistakes and miscues by the players yet some on this board only want to blame the coaching.
Going into this season I had what I consider realistic expectations considering all of the youth and inexperience on this roster. I'm not happy with a 3-5 record at this point but to be honest it is about what I expected.
It boggles my mind that the same coaches (McVay, Morris) that brought home a Super Bowl victory just two seasons ago suddenly don't know what they're doing, according to some. If you want to see some bad coaching decisions, go watch the Chargers. Staley has single-handedly cost them some wins with some of his decisions.
