Specifically, Sean McVay, Raheem Morris, and Blackburn on special teams?
All of them seem to be unraveling at least a little bit, don’t you think?
I believe in Track records. Morris won a super bowl with his defense and had them playing great when it counted the most (the Playoffs) and before anyone talks about all the talent we had, so do other teams like the 49ers, Eagles, Bills et al who couldn't hoist the Lombardi with their current staffs.
Same with Sean McVay. Track record says, he wins. I used analogy earlier in this week with Bruce Bochy in Baseball, shitcanned by the Giants after winning, not one, not 2, but 3 world series in 5 years. Their reward for doing so, never reappearing in the Series. Now the Texans, and Coach Bochy on the brink of winning the title.
Winners win. Not always, but consistently.
Now Blackburn, he fails the eyeball test and he fails the track record test. In a lovely bit of football Karma, I saw Bones screaming and pumping his fist as he took the new guy to the proverbial woodshed, making me (and probably Sean) wondering why he gave up on the guy. He's a winner.
