With O that has proven they can't run the ball (consistently week to week) and did what to improve it??
To answer your question ...
Spent their highest draft pick (36th overall) on OL Steve Avila, 6'4", 330 lbs.
"... analytics said he was the top offensive guard in this year's class." [
www.therams.com] A team captain, Avila was TCU's "
... 'main guy' in the leadership department. " [

Drafted OL Warren McClendon in the 5th round, 6'4", 300 lbs. 37 career starts for national champion Georgia Bulldogs, all at RT (including 14 starts at RT last year), All-SEC first team selection in 2022.
"Routinely moved over to LT in-game during the 2022 season as part of a rotation at tackle. ... McClendon brings top-notch physicality as a run-blocker with the torque to create lateral displacement and dig out defenders on angle-drive blocks, create a wall on down blocks and has a mean streak to finish to the echo of the whistle." Drafted RB Zach Evans in the 6th round. Evans averaged 6.9 ypc and scored 18 TDs in 290 career carries at TCU and Ole Miss.
"Evans posted a 4.45-40 time, which would have ranked him sixth among the running backs at the combine. He also ran a 4.26-second 20-yard shuttle and finished the three-cone drill in 7.08 seconds. Both numbers would have ranked inside the top 10 of running backs back in Indianapolis." [

Hired a new Offensive coordinator - Mike LaFleur - who spent the last 2 season as OC for the Jets and was a long-time assistant for Kyle Shanahan. And since
"... (t)he Sean McVay style of offense branches directly off of the wide zone offense from Kyle Shanahan’s version of the wide zone offense" [
vikingswire.usatoday.com] there is reason to think that LaFleur can show McVay how to incorporate some of the 49ers run concepts into the Rams game plans.
Hired a new RB coach - Ron Gould. Prior to making the move to the NFL, Gould coached for more than three decades at the college level, including 16 years on Cal's staff from 1997-2012 with 10 of those seasons coaching the Golden Bears' running backs. Most recently, he was the running backs coach at Stanford from 2017-2022.
Maybe that's not what you would have wanted them to do, but it isn't 'nothing'. (BTW, what did you want them to do?)
