I am of the opinion that the RB salaries/contract lengths are already fair.
The reason is the ever reliable Law of Supply and Demand, aka the Free Market.
Both star and journeyman RB’s are in endless competition with other players at their position.
RB’s are the easiest position to find good players and to replace when injured or worn out. There are millions of financial reasons why a quality QB earns more than other positions. Same exact thing is true for RB’s.
We need to set aside ‘fairness’ in RB salaries because it ain’t gonna change the factors that apply in the Law of Supply and Demand. A law that cannot be broken for any lengthy period of time.
