When looking at the defensive line it would seem that size is rather lacking. Bobbie Brown is really the only size guy and so far he really hasn't done much. I am guessing that the defensive staff feels Brown is ready to step up and fill a bigger role.
.
While it is not a big line, I don't think it matters. When you watch Copeland play, he plays strong. Brown III is harder to tell because we have not seen a lot of him...but he's plenty big---with the right technique.
I think your take is right on KT---downgraded because slightly undersized, though I think you second point was more of the issue--Wake Forrest.
But for a one-gap three-tech--which is what he was projected--he was maybe 10 pounds underweight of ideal.
Rams don't play one-gap, the play gap and a half--so he's still a fit.
Rams don't play two-gap, either--so they don't need monsters...
Brown III will be 0/1 - NT
Donald the 4i/3 tech - DT
Copeland the 5t/4i - DE
I think Turner will be backup DT
I think Backup DE is open, could be Brown IV, Williams is around but Mr. Irrelevent is there, too.
Copeland can backu p NT and when he is there, spelling Brown III the backup DEs will get reps
Passing Downs
DE - Hoecht
DE - Young
DT- Donald
DT- Turner
that is how I see it right now
