I'm a big Goff fan but he needs a great system to be really effective. I think the NFL had caught up to the McVay system with Goff and so Rams needed to change it up with Stafford. I also think that after the Super Bowl McVay failed to anticipate how teams would adjust to the Rams...needed to do a better job of establishing an effective run game since so many teams started playing the Fangio D.
It will be interesting to see how long Goff continues to be effective in Detroit, since their success means that teams will start to adjust to them as well.
