1. Overall depth. We're not going to be able to deal as well as the better rosters do when we get injuries to starters. Some positions are better than others of course but overall this is where the bottom of the roster being UDFAs and whatnot will hurt you.
2. Run defense. We did not replace the 1T presences we lost. Brown maybe can replace one of those two. Maybe. It's gonna hurt vs the best ground games.
3. Pass rush. For this defense to have a good pass rush requires multiple "If's" to come through. Possible certainly. But questionable.
4. Secondary. Quite a few unknowns in the secondary headed by Fuller's health status, who if anyone can hold it down next to him, and who is the third corner. I have this one lowest because I think we'll have two good corners and maybe good safeties which means we'll be ok back there if the rush is good.
1. Lack of experience is an issue agree.
2. Only lost one 1T and as tough a player as Gaines was, his reps can be replaced by Brown who is a talent upgrade, but maybe not a hustle, want-to upgrade. We shall see. Copeland is back and he was the #2 1T last year and maybe one of the young guys will step up.
Someone has to step up at 4i, though - so there more of an issue.
3/4 Yeah, it's a roll-the-dice as to the young guys stepping up. No one knows. Same with the secondary but only need one to replace Floyd, Hoecht
has other spot. Donald is there. Pass rush, as long as people are healthy acould be good. Secondary are qeustion mark, but safeties, IMO, seem like they can play, no one thought much of Fuller and he was a player, we've had low-rounders who are good. Durant and THT are going to be good at slot and CB whichever one plays which.
Only issue at CB is who plays outside opposite DD/THT--that is the biggest concern.
The offensive line is still big concern because of how many guys coming off injuries--that is a bigger concern to me that run defense and pass rush.
