I think Morris will be a legit topic of conversation this year. His job just got a lot harder by taking away his security blankets.
That's going to be an interesting topic all season long.
On one hand, this being his 3rd year, he should have his type of guys in place. No excuses.
On the other hand, the defense was gutted of a lot of star power and experience and Morris will be asked to craft a defense out of rookies, low round picks and free agents.
Unless our defense takes us to the playoffs, which might be a tall challenge, I'm not sure by the end of the year we'll have a legitimate answer. I'm not a huge fan of his, but I feel like he'll be starting the season already at a disadvantage.
And in all fairness to Morris, he has been asked to run a "system" that he really wasn't familiar with. I would love to see if letting him run his own system would be a better option.
#HelmetHornsMatter
“Well, the color is good, I like the metallic blue,” Youngblood recently said while laughing, via NFL Journal. “The horn is terrible. It looks like a ‘C.’ When I first saw it on the logo I honestly thought it was a Charger logo.
“Now when I see it on the helmet, it just isn’t a ram horn. There is no distinct curl like a mature ram horn. I don’t know how the Rams could get that wrong. That is your symbol and it has been for what? Seventy years or more? Longer than I have been alive? It’s just not us, it’s not the Rams.”---Mr. Ram Jack Youngblood
