Interesting thoughts from oldnotdead. thumbs up smiley

I wonder how he feels about Morris's ability to "coach up" these new young guns or his ability or willingness to come up with a better scheme than the Charmin Shell?

Inquiring minds want to know! peace smiley

Don’t go there, dude! His views gaven;t changed and we don’t want to start a prairie fire. Lol.

Screw that! I don't let Narcissitic internet message board wannabe DC bullies intimidate me! beer cheer smiley

I think Morris will be a legit topic of conversation this year. His job just got a lot harder by taking away his security blankets.

Without those 2 HOF'ers and several other "minor" players on his unit to help make him look better, he will be forced to "perform" better than he ever has as a coach.

Morris will have to put on his "big boy panties" and coach these kids up. It won't be easy but if he is as good as some "think" he is, our D should be fine, right? rolled eyes smiley

Morris will be a lightning rod this season and I am not sure some will be able to handle that if he fails. Critics will be out in full force.

I wonder if the excuse that he has no talent to work with will be the mantra we hear if he fails? I can see it coming already!

I am hoping Lake and Pleasant will bring some creativity that was severely lacking last year! beer cheer smiley

It is the position coaches that need to coach up the players not Morris. If Morris has to coach up the young guys that means we hired the wrong position coaches. It is not like we didn't know that we would have a bunch of young guys and needed position coaches that excelled a player development.

Not sure how much input Morris has with selecting coaches versus McVay.

Morris is responsible for the scheme and who plays on Sunday. That we can discuss and be critical of thought I think his scheme choices are somewhat based on the talent he has available. Yes he does need to coaches his coaches to develop the talent and I am sure he contributes some to player development, especially around creating a learning environment where people can make mistakes and learn from them.

I think the player development has been sliding the last few years a bit and now with the young roster it will be center stage for at least the next 2 years.
