LMU93
One reason I am skeptical of Noteboom at LT is frankly I don't know that he'll be ready for a full workload come training camp. By late July he'll be 9 months removed from surgery. Enough to do individual drills, conditioning, etc.? Probably. Team work and full pads, joint practices, etc.? Maybe not.
Ease him along slowly. And frankly I think Jackson is a better starting LT. Line him and Avila up on the left side and don't look back.
Do you play Noteboom in the preseason if he's ready to go or just hand him the LT spot? Either way, I am not sure Noteboom is durable to make it through the entire season.
IMO, we don't have a good enough LT on our team that is worth keeping or investing in. Noteboom had potential but that was negated by his lack of durability. Time to move on. Jackson is good but not the answer either.
I would love for to go big on a FA LT in 2024! Start the rebuild with the LT position. Let's get another Whitworth! If we cleared all that money this year to go big next year...use some of it on the OL!!!
I am not a fan of sitting so many guys during preseason. IMO, these dudes need "live action" reps. Not only camp and practice reps and no, the joint practices don't take away the need to play them in the preseason too.
I'm not saying play them 3 qtrs every game, but at least a few series a game!
#HelmetHornsMatter
“Well, the color is good, I like the metallic blue,” Youngblood recently said while laughing, via NFL Journal. “The horn is terrible. It looks like a ‘C.’ When I first saw it on the logo I honestly thought it was a Charger logo.
“Now when I see it on the helmet, it just isn’t a ram horn. There is no distinct curl like a mature ram horn. I don’t know how the Rams could get that wrong. That is your symbol and it has been for what? Seventy years or more? Longer than I have been alive? It’s just not us, it’s not the Rams.”---Mr. Ram Jack Youngblood
