Especially if you are incorporating 2 rookies (Bruss and Avila) into a new OL. I seriously hope that Alaric Jackson beats out NB, who just can't escape the injury bug (which is why I did not want to re-sign NB in the first place).
If McVay allows our OL to play in the preseason, then we have a shot of gelling by week 3, Else, I fear that the OL will be taking punches the first 4-6 games or so. The bottom line is that the whole OL is the sum of the parts and not just one-on-one players. Rope-a-dope may be the strategy for the first few games, anyways.
