It actually is Cam's contract year. He signed a 4 year deal in 2020 and this is the 4th and final year of that deal.

It is true that he will be a restricted FA next year so the Rams can retain him if they want to. But his contract runs out at seasons end and he will play in 2024 under the terms of his second contract.

So I guess the "motivational" factor will still be there for Cam. He will be playing for new $$$. I just hope he doesn't quit on us again. Sorry, but I have no respect for a quitter.
