Short corners are inevitably projected to the slot. Happened to both Durant and Tomlinson. Doesn't mean they can't play outside, or that they're no good, but that projection comes part and parcel with more allowance for subpar height. This is a fact of the position.
Same with speed. Guys have been drafted for years for slot who have zero chance to play outside. This does not mean they're bad players, you simply have more room for error on them.
Inevitably the guys with good length get projected outside the hash in the NFL. Every year in the draft this happens and there is good reason for it. This is a fact.
But I have no problem disagreeing with you on this if you insist.
