The Rams defense averaged 20.8 points a game in the last five contests.. that would be 13th over the course of the season.
I think that's misleading. Teams didn't have to run up the score on this team because the offense was so inept. I think there's a lot of whistling past the graveyard going on.
Knowing that offense was so bad, it changed the way teams played us and game planned for us.
Not really... Teams are out there to win and win big.
No one is going to cut the reigns and go conservative because of the other team's offensive deficiencies.
Any team can be beaten in the NFL at any day. No one is going to pull back the throttle because the other team's offense is bad.
I guess people can make it whatever narrative that fits the bill. Like this: Because the Rams offense is so bad, the other team's offense can play riskier and looser as they know their defense can shut down the Rams offense. So they can take more risks on offense. As even a turnover at the Midfield, won't hurt them because the Rams can't score from there anyway.
These people are professionals and they are out to make money/bonuses too. Don't forget that.
