And it had nothing to do with scheme (As annoying as that was) I saw a LOT of half a** to almost zero effort on several plays, especially by DBs. The Buffalo game really irked me. Often, we asked....How come WE don't get the lucky bounces on fumbles. Gotta have your head and heart in the play to have a chance. Tackling was LAAAAAAAME! Yeah....Maybe Morris could have / should have Coached that up more. But I see it this way...They are PROFESSIONAL players. At SOME point, you'd think THEY could see the film and Man Up without being told. I bet McVay saw it and that's EXACTLY why so many are hitting the bricks. And it won't take an Earth shattering effort to replace many of them.
But in my eyes, that falls at the feet of the coaches who are in charge of setting the personnel. Who starts and who sits.
If you were a coach and you you watched lame efforts over and over from the same players, would you keep playing them? At the very least, shouldn't the coach be able to bring it to their attention? Maybe try to correct it?
There has to be some accountability on the coaching staff too. IMO, there is no "maybe". Morris absolutely should have "Coached that up more".
I get the "they are Pro's" stuff but that doesn't mean they still don't need some guidance, instructions, corrections to technique or a kick in the @ss now and then or even be put in the right scheme to fit their talents.
We have lost some really good players on D. I can't lump all them in with the "lame effort" crowd. Ramsey, Scott and Wags are good examples and they are gone too.
#HelmetHornsMatter
“Well, the color is good, I like the metallic blue,” Youngblood recently said while laughing, via NFL Journal. “The horn is terrible. It looks like a ‘C.’ When I first saw it on the logo I honestly thought it was a Charger logo.
“Now when I see it on the helmet, it just isn’t a ram horn. There is no distinct curl like a mature ram horn. I don’t know how the Rams could get that wrong. That is your symbol and it has been for what? Seventy years or more? Longer than I have been alive? It’s just not us, it’s not the Rams.”---Mr. Ram Jack Youngblood
