I have been scouring the staffs of the Playoff Teams.
Kromer (former Rams oline) is now on the Bills Staff.
Anyways, there's a common denominator with the staffs, they are full of Veteran Coaches (10 years or more) and there's a lot of coaches on their staffs. What does that mean to me? They are grooming the younger coaches to take over if older coaches retire or take other jobs. Plus, the younger coaches do the dirty work and lighten the load for those veteran coaches.
What about the HC? He's there to "oversee" the staff AND MAKE SURE the work is done HIS WAY....Basically, the HC is not writing the term paper, he's proof reading it BEFORE GAME DAY and making "slight" adjustments.
Please McVay, hire VETERAN NFL COACHES.
Good take. Also, if he hires veteran coaches, a lot of the poaching problem will be gone. Veteran coaches have lost that new car scent and are looked upon as retreads. But their football wisdom is much more profound than these millennials that McVay has seemed to gravitate towards.
