I have been scouring the staffs of the Playoff Teams.
Kromer (former Rams oline) is now on the Bills Staff.
Anyways, there's a common denominator with the staffs, they are full of Veteran Coaches (10 years or more) and there's a lot of coaches on their staffs. What does that mean to me? They are grooming the younger coaches to take over if older coaches retire or take other jobs. Plus, the younger coaches do the dirty work and lighten the load for those veteran coaches.
What about the HC? He's there to "oversee" the staff AND MAKE SURE the work is done HIS WAY....Basically, the HC is not writing the term paper, he's proof reading it BEFORE GAME DAY and making "slight" adjustments.
Please McVay, hire VETERAN NFL COACHES.
The problem is that we can't get a good year in with staff being poached away. Mcvay might prefer younger coaches that he can mold because they won't be stripped from him in a season's time. Matt Lafluer, Zac Taylor, and Kevin O'Connell would still be on our staff given regular circumstances. At least some combo of the three. But we get picked dry every year.
