I don't think the numbers support everyone being forced to take an experimental vaccine against their will and shutting down businesses and firing people from their jobs. And that's if we're assuming that the reported deaths are accurate. Which there is evidence that they're not. There are examples of "Covid numbers" being misreported. Whether intentionally or not. I don't thinby moklerman - RamsFootballFans.com
Doesn't that same study show that there is a 1 in 1,000,000 chance of death of Covid for Californians overall? That does not sound like the response has been proportionate to the odds.by moklerman - RamsFootballFans.com
I certainly wonder about the accuracy of the tests. The variant seems to be showing up pretty wildly. And what does it even mean to have the variant? The last time I read anything about it, it was far less dangerous than the regular version. Why are they locking players out with stuff that's even less serious?by moklerman - RamsFootballFans.com
But I don't think that people have valued these rights less and are only now caring about them. I think that people didn't feel those rights were being threatened to the extent that they now do. Which, the water analogy, doesn't really compare. People seemingly being more thirsty now than they were in the past is different than people feeling like something is being threatened or taken away.by moklerman - RamsFootballFans.com
I know they planned for hospitals being overwhelmed but many of those went unused. There is also the situation where they are laying off hospital workers and then being short staffed. It is very difficult to get a straight story anymore.by moklerman - RamsFootballFans.com
Wouldn't that be when we founded the country? Personal rights and limited government control is the basis of our society. To me, the argument that if you don't do "X" then you must be "Y" is just manipulation. Manipulation being used to take something from you more than for your benefit.by moklerman - RamsFootballFans.com
Are hospitals everywhere pushed to capacity or just in the most densely populated area in the country?by moklerman - RamsFootballFans.com
The Jaguars are apparently wishing for Pederson, which would be a good hire for them, but they'll likely have to settle for a guy like Moore. Getting Lawrence on track is job #1 for the next regime in addition to rebuilding the culture. But I doubt they have the juice to sway a coach away from going to Denver if given the choice. Denver isn't too far away as a team and just needs some tweakingby moklerman - RamsFootballFans.com
I was shocked that my opponent didn't have Kelce. I am in 5th place in a 4 playoff league and 1 game behind 4th place. I have to not only beat the #2 team in the league this week, the last place team has to beat the guy in front of me. AND, I have to outscore the 4th place team by 35 points to win the tie-breaker. Not looking good. But, that last place team had Kelce so he's off to a good stby moklerman - RamsFootballFans.com
She has a feeling based on rumors from people outside the Packers? Is that right?by moklerman - RamsFootballFans.com
Another problem with those analytics is that I don't think they incorporate what a defense is defending against. The numbers may tell you that you have good success foregoing punts or field goals but was that success against defenses that were surprised and with the wrong defense and personnel for the situation? That's a lot different than if you always go for it and the defense is anticipatingby moklerman - RamsFootballFans.com
But you act as if the team winning the coin toss has nothing to do but kick a FG from the 1 yard line. Like it's an automatic win. The team losing the coin toss has an opportunity to defend 75 yards of field. If they can't do that, then the defensive part of their team is letting them down. You want to win, you're going to have to play some defense. I see nothing unfair about that. Defensby moklerman - RamsFootballFans.com
I didn't say too late, I said too long. You too are allowed to have your opinion and if you think defense is such an insignificant part of the game, you can go watch Arena ball. If an NFL defense can't stop an offense from scoring a TD, then they deserve to lose. It sounds like you just wanted the Chargers to win or had Herbert in your FFL. It isn't unfair that they couldn't keep the Chiefs fby moklerman - RamsFootballFans.com
No, if they stopped them on defense and then got the ball and scored a TD, the game's over. I don't mind the way that it is. It forces a team to have to play defense. What I can't stand is college. Drags it on too long. I like the NFL compromise. It used to be that any score would be game over. Now, you don't lose on any score but you better be able to stop a TD. Fair enough.by moklerman - RamsFootballFans.com
I think that is why the Rodgers comparison when LaFleur arrived is worth looking at. It's to Stafford's credit that he has picked up the system and dealt with the personnel losses as well as he has. Rodgers didn't play poorly but he also took some time to get really productive. Pretty much didn't click for him until year two under LaFleur. Hopefully that means that Stafford's efficiency willby moklerman - RamsFootballFans.com
That stat gets brought up too often without perspective. In Stafford's 12 years in Detroit, when he wasn't in the lineup the Lions were 5-22(.227). Since he left, they are 0-11-1(.000). The past 25 years without Stafford they are 54-177-2(.195)!!! I don't know how many actually consider it a Stafford problem but that seems pretty unfair. The Lions are just awful. I'm biased, so this justby moklerman - RamsFootballFans.com
There are soon going to be too many players across the league for them to keep playing. This is just the beginning of the outbreak and there isn't anything to stop it. Not in the next couple of weeks.by moklerman - RamsFootballFans.com
That's the same impression that I have but I'm not sure it's accurate. It seems like Michel is still young in age and mileage. Much more than Anderson was when we got him. Michel has 698 touches in 51 career games. Anderson had 796 touches in 58 games when he got to the Rams. More than Michel at the same age, but not drastically so or the difference between Anderson being high mileage anby moklerman - RamsFootballFans.com
The Rams had huge question marks with Gurley and regardless of work ethic or eating problem, for whatever reason, Anderson was productive in the offense. Maybe his bad habits catch up to him but I think he earned the opportunity to try in '19. Anderson was 27 in '18. Michel is 26 now.by moklerman - RamsFootballFans.com
I go through this with the Dodgers too. Instead of making noise and trying to get the calls other teams are getting, they seem to just let it go. On the one hand, I do like the idea of them being above bad calls and not calling out the officials. That maybe the officials would remember that and appreciate not being exposed. However, I don't know that the refs have that kind of integrity.by moklerman - RamsFootballFans.com
Work ethic and motivation are personality issues IMO.by moklerman - RamsFootballFans.com
Yeah, it does seem like the ref's are actively ignoring any holding by his blockers and just looking for a whisper of contact on him.by moklerman - RamsFootballFans.com
I'm just going by the onfield production, I was unaware of personality issues. There are plenty of reasons they should bring Michel back but this regime hasn't ever seemed to put a high value on their RB's. McVay always seems ready to move on.by moklerman - RamsFootballFans.com
Well, the Cards and Rams sure like to be contrarians don't they? Dangerous as underdogs and frustrating as favorites. I hope the Rams evolve past it and start establishing themselves as the team to beat.by moklerman - RamsFootballFans.com
Quotesocalmab I was thinking that Sony is more like Akers, downhill runner just does not have the wiggle that Akers has. I think Henderson does not fit Mcvay's idea of a RB, I wonder if he would be an attractive trade chip. Young talented running backConsidering CJ Anderson's contributions in '18 and they still let him go....I don't feel like Michel has secured any kind of future with the Ramsby moklerman - RamsFootballFans.com
CB definitely punts it farther than Hekker at this point but Hekker still has a higher % of punts inside the 20 and a better net average. I agree that Hekker hasn't been what he was, but I still like the decision to stick with him. He earned some loyalty and an opportunity to prove he can get the job done.by moklerman - RamsFootballFans.com
Only if your definition of failing is an undefined range compared to other teams. You put the '85 Bears roster out there and do what our defense has done and I think it's fair to call that a failure of resources. You feel like with what we've got, sniffing the top 10 is acceptable. I don't agree. Maybe my standards are too high.by moklerman - RamsFootballFans.com
Just curious about the feeling of what we've seen on defense 3/4's of the way through the season.by moklerman - RamsFootballFans.com
I'm not sure what it is yet. I didn't watch him enough in Detroit to know what's normal but even within this season, he seems to be missing on passes that he should be making. I lean toward it being a physical issue more than streakiness though. It seems too unusual for a QB to be as cold as he is to start games but it has been a consistent problem lately.by moklerman - RamsFootballFans.com
That's all you have though. The stats show the numbers but not the context. Whatever rankings you've offered don't illustrate how the Rams can actually stop the opposition in critical situations, just on average. Some stats are more illustrative. Individual players on offense are more easily measured. Stats on defense aren't nearly as obvious. But, I feel like your compulsion to be rightby moklerman - RamsFootballFans.com
