That's all you have though. The stats show the numbers but not the context. Whatever rankings you've offered don't illustrate how the Rams can actually stop the opposition in critical situations, just on average. Some stats are more illustrative. Individual players on offense are more easily measured. Stats on defense aren't nearly as obvious.
But, I feel like your compulsion to be right is blurring your vision and objectivity. Whatever the numbers happen to be, don't match what the defense is actually doing.
It all boils down to whether this defense is going to be able to stop the top offenses and I don't think anyone can honestly say they think that's realistic. Like I said, I hope you're right and they can. Morris has got a lot to prove to make me think he's right for this job.
