how I missed RUSH. What I mean by that is: When they were on top I didn't not know who they were. If I had heard of them I have no memory of it. I know... hard to believe, but I may know why. They came up when I was away. Army, 3 years. During most of that time I was out of the country, with little to no access to the top hits in America. Not sure how many of these I've seen... maybe a dozen? And about half were in other countries... I remember Australia, Canada, and the UK. I think the USA is lenient but in those other countries a slap on the wrist is almost too harsh in their systems. Maybe I just happened to see the 'exceptions' where light sentences were given. - JamesJMby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
But it still seems odd to me... the way they chat, even to expound when not asked a question. So yeah, I think you're probably right but at the same time - do you think there is something different between the guilty, (not talking about crimes of passion here but cold blooded murder), and those who would not commit such a heinous crime? Something in their psychological makeup? Corruption...by JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
I wasn't referring to the reasons for the 5th, or the necessity of it. I'm aware of all that. I meant I don't understand why they are so talkative in the first place, even after being read their rights. I don't think us non-murderers can ever really understand them. Just one example: Watching those true crime videos I'm thinking, "Damn, guilt would consume me. I would want to be punished".... and I suppose there are a few who do think that way but it's damn few. I grew up with a guy who killed his stepdaughter. She was 13. One was probation the other parole. I didn't understand the parole, (and didn't really look into it)... but it was something like a technicality during the sentencing phase. The verdict stood but the sentencing was changed and parole was granted. If I come across it again, (doubtful), I'll try to clarify. :laughing Ever watch those 'true crime' youtube videos? I had seen very few, until recently. Friend of mine is VERY into those and told me I should watch them because they are so 'educational and interesting'. His words. Well, I think he was right BUT... it's just not my thing. I understand that most of you, probably all of you, know of no one in the 'very' non-tech category. I do, however. My sister and a cousin. Not trying to redirect the point of this thread.... it's a good one, very good. Re-watched the old classic Mr. Roberts last night. Incredible movie, IMHO. And 'brave'... in that it took on a topic seldom seen in the genre of 'war movies'. I think Mr. Roberts is too often viewed as merely 'comedic'.... and you bet - it IS funny. But I think the main point of the movie is quite serious, andby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub

No second coming of Brady? Gonna be honest with ya les. I would never try to make the argument that there was a better QB than Brady... and unlike most on this board I actually LIKE Brady. But do I, personally, think he was the ultimate best? No. But when you win that many SB's, MVP's..... you'll be considered an idiot for doubting it, or worse... in denial. and I hate to admit that the fact he's going to be leading the Niners for the next several years, (most likely), worries the hell out of me. However, I certainly don't think he's on the level you consider him to be. I see him quite bit. I see flaws.... greatness as well, but flaws. they are the most tech advanced race cars in the world... the drivers are top notch. BUT.... tight racing is seldom, especially at the finish line. Most other type of racing will have good finished far more often. I'd say Indy Car is my favorite... but the reason for that is mostly nostalgic. I grew up on the Indy 500. When the Chiefs started bringing it, the 3rd, wasn't he like 4 for 11.... maybe a 50 QBR? And it's not 'only' blitz, it's pressure... be it a 3,4,5 or more man rush. the spot on Kelce's 3rd down catch. That was clearly close, as the replay showed.... and I think a 1st. The spot was off... obviously.
