I will never be able to know for sure.....

how I missed RUSH. What I mean by that is: When they were on top I didn't not know who they were. If I had heard of them I have no memory of it. I know... hard to believe, but I may know why. They came up when I was away.

Army, 3 years. During most of that time I was out of the country, with little to no access to the top hits in America. For YEARS after I returned home I'd hear a song I liked a lot and I'd mention it to various friends telling them they should give it listen - - only to have them reply, "What are you? Senile? That was a hit 10 years ago". It was new to me.

Also... even after I began listening to RUSH I was never a big fan.... I liked them but they never rose into my favorites bands. It's possible I heard some of their songs when I was in the Army and just thought, "ehh". I don't KNOW that but it's possible.

ELP I knew well, one of my favorites of all time BUT.... never saw them live.
