From what I’ve seen is he is still trying to make a play. It’s not lack of awareness from the few games that I’ve watched. It sure what the solution is... or if there needs to be one. I think he would be scary good with a great OL. He is elite with an average one. IMO.by Atlantic Ram - RamsFootballFans.com
I agree it could have been handled better but it wasn’t classless. I think the Silver article helped sway people. And I feel bad for Goff having to go to Detroit but hard to be too upset considering the staggering amount of money he is getting... and everything that goes with that.by Atlantic Ram - RamsFootballFans.com
At least it was unbiased, which after the Silver article is refreshing. I get that Silver is a Cal Bear guy but that shouldn’t come into play... but it’s how he felt about it I guess. Absent from the article is the offers the Rams were getting for Goff.by Atlantic Ram - RamsFootballFans.com
I agree it was handled poorly but I don’t know what they should have said. “No comment” is usually worse than a comment... I think maybe it was he way they were saying it.. especially Snead and the “beautiful mystery” comment. Not sure we would be having this conceit it wasn’t for the Silver article and comments. Amazing how influential that stuff can be.by Atlantic Ram - RamsFootballFans.com
Hopefully that trend will continue minus Goff. So far so good. In Stafford I trust.by Atlantic Ram - RamsFootballFans.com

Quotedzrams QuoteRampage2K- We just made it to the divisional round by beating the winner of the NFC West and then after the defense collapsed in that round they pretty much blamed our QB and said they need to get past the divisional round and back to the Super Bowl by upgrading our QB.....well, they just gave up a shhht ton to do do just that. McVay has put a ton of pressure on himself and hiby Atlantic Ram - RamsFootballFans.com
McVay has his issues and is not the boy genius he is made out to be IMO. But he got the Rams into the playoffs and I think with better QB play the Rams would be playing next week. I don’t think McVay is a serious problem.by Atlantic Ram - RamsFootballFans.com
If the Rams paid to get rid of Goff and his salary, why would anyone give up something for him? Now being in Detroit might make Goff a little more willing to rework his contract into something more cap/trade friendly so he can go somewhere else. But he says he is happy to be wanted so who knows?by Atlantic Ram - RamsFootballFans.com

As far as I can remember he was mad at himself and with the offensive production and turnovers. Still effusive in praise IMO except for, well really Goff when you boil it down. I do think it was a business move because Goff wasn’t performing to whatever standard McVay expected but I think there was something else. It will be interesting trying to decipher what teammates and coaches say about himby Atlantic Ram - RamsFootballFans.com
I like Silver and I think he does a good job coloring this story. I don't know why the Snead handled this the way he did but I am assuming he wasn't just trying to be a jerk. But evidently McVay and Snead are both pretty horrible people based on this article. Luckily the tough, dignified and unwanted QB has now found a place that truly wants him. A team that is going to focus on running the footbby Atlantic Ram - RamsFootballFans.com
or as some post relentlessly; McVay and Snead are just stupid.by Atlantic Ram - RamsFootballFans.com
the Gurley extension just defied logic to me. And then the Tavon "This contract isn't for who Tavon is now, it's for the player he is gonna be" or whatever Fisher said. smh I wonder if they're done patting themselves on the back for signing Kenny Britt. Not that it applies here but I just didn't see it as the walk off grand slam the Rams seemed to feel it was.by Atlantic Ram - RamsFootballFans.com
He reminds me of Robert Woods, an experienced pro who takes their job seriously. But he has been in the league a while and I wonder if he can still stretch the field. His ypc has been falling the last few years.by Atlantic Ram - RamsFootballFans.com
Bottom line: It's an upgrade at the QB position. Significant enough to make a difference. I would add he appears more confident than Goff. I wasn't crazy about the trade but now I am pretty stoked. Let's start the season now! lol For better or worse, I am at least more excited about the upcoming season.by Atlantic Ram - RamsFootballFans.com

Congrats to the Bucs for getting there but unless its 2001 all over again, this should be a blowout... However if the Tampa Brady Bucs can pull one over like Belichick then who knows?by Atlantic Ram - RamsFootballFans.com
Stafford is a lot like Goff just better. Stafford can do more with less and appears to be able to carry a team. I think Goff is actually more nimble but Stafford is a more determined and confident runner... and QB for that matter.by Atlantic Ram - RamsFootballFans.com
I agree absolutely with being able to get out of the contract IF the Rams weren't committed to Goff. The only thing I question is the offense Stafford played in. I watched just a few condensed games but that offense looked better than the Rams offense in the latter part of the year. Stafford was considerably more confident and tougher. I know Goff was tough but Stafford more so. That said, hisby Atlantic Ram - RamsFootballFans.com
Kurt Warner @kurt13warner · 3h Hmmm... 2 yrs after a QB plays in the SB the team moves on... how many teams have done that before??? What does this mean for the future of both sides??? Can’t wait to watch, who’s with me???by Atlantic Ram - RamsFootballFans.com
from 2020... Small sample size but it appears that Stafford is very good. He will take a sack and is not light on his feet. Excellent deep ball. Not immobile but definitely not a running QB. Football is a game of inches. If the Rams offense was just a little better this season, they might still be playing. Does Stafford make them a little better? I think so. I'd still hope for improvement in tby Atlantic Ram - RamsFootballFans.com
I agree. I think part of it is the lack of production but there seems like there was something else going on. We may never know. It is unlike McVay to not praise players but when he was talking about Goff I feel like there was a different tone in his voice. It was just weird.by Atlantic Ram - RamsFootballFans.com
Tempered optimism... Was certain it was going to be Watson though. Hopeful that Stafford will excel with a better team around him.by Atlantic Ram - RamsFootballFans.com

Definitely made next season more exciting for me... Now if we can just chill a little on paying players early and sometimes upfront for those with "unrealized" potential. I'm stoked and optimistic... but it's tempered a good deal.by Atlantic Ram - RamsFootballFans.com
