I agree absolutely with being able to get out of the contract IF the Rams weren't committed to Goff.
The only thing I question is the offense Stafford played in. I watched just a few condensed games but that offense looked better than the Rams offense in the latter part of the year. Stafford was considerably more confident and tougher. I know Goff was tough but Stafford more so. That said, his receivers got open and I thought there were some very creative plays called. And the running game wasn't bad...
Like I said in a previous post; Football is a game of inches... the Rams offense with Stafford should be a step better and that's all it really needs to be. Not night and day just better. If the Rams had Stafford this season I think the Rams would be playing next Sunday. Not because Stafford would have been lights out but because it's a game of inches.. and because of that, being a step better is significant.
