because if you're going to HC and remain as HC for a while you HAVE to be 100% dedicated to the "it's not personal, it's business" philosophy... and I don't think I could do that.by JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com
It was working. He stayed with it. Is it board consensus that McVay gets away from a 'working' run game? I'm dubious that that is the case. - JamesJMby JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com
Hot topics then were the BS new rules not allowing tripping, targeting, fighting, illegal motion, holding, celebrating, taunting, finger biting, crotch kicking, face masking, eye gouging. :laughingby JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com
Yeah, I agree going back to a 'bad team' won't help him BUT... I think he'd do just that if it meant 'starting'... and it certainly would because I can't see him leaving the Rams for anything less. He's NOT going to leave to backup say a "Hurts". Brings up an interesting off season dynamic, don't you think? Does McVay lead on Baker making him think he can challenge Stafford? In the past and in this situation I would have rooted for the Vikings over the Niners... that's a 'given'... BUT.... there would have been NO fondness for the Vikings from me even should they have beaten the Niners... THAT is what has changed, for me. If the Vikings knock off the Niners I'm going to actually, even if only momentarily, dare I say 'like' the Vikings? Yes, I think that's possible.by JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com
I think all of you. The team I have 'hated' (football hate, let's not get silly), the most over the last 50 years is the Vikings. For good reason if you lived thru the 70's... plus I had even more incentive to hate them since they were my ex-brother-in-law's favorite team.. (still are)... but he's history. But today should it happen that the Vikings meet the Niners in the playoffs I'll beby JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com
and this from me, the guy who changes his mind most often... it's OL... yup, love to have a RB as well but OL is the priority for me and I pray it's the priority for the Rams as well. I'm to the point where i think fixing the OL fixes everything else even if everything else stays 'as is'. Even the D will be helped by fixing our OL. - JamesJMby JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com
I agree... he did look explosive.by JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com
4-10 teams just don't do that. I don't know what it means... the entire game was one continuous 'what the hell?' for me. A very fun and gratifying "what the hell?" but still a "what the hell?"- JamesJMby JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com

if it's different or if it's Baker making it 'seem' different. If it's Baker making it seem so then maybe McVay isn't as heavy handed as I had come to believe he was... or maybe being out of the playoffs McVay has switched modes... I just don't know.by JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com
Last thing I want to do is be critical of Cam after his game yesterday... but I'm not sure I'm seeing the Cam I thought sure I saw his rookie year.by JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com
But I'm not sure why I thought that... maybe it's come up before?by JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com
But a Ram's coffee cup prevented it. And now I'm facing a painful dilemma. I watched the game yesterday while holding my new coffee cup, (containing coffee and Bailey's) SOOO... Do I retire the cup as undefeated? And not just 'undefeated' but super-hero-like powerful. OR - Do I risk it's magical charm and bring it out for the remaining games? I think I'm leaning 'retirement'. - Jaby JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com
I should know but..... my house is chaos right now. Family is here for Christmas and although I watched the game 'hearing' the game was not possible... even from another room. :laughingby JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com
So what conclusions can we draw from it? Ahhh... don't answer that.... I think I'll just bask in the rout/victory and neither draw any conclusions nor entertain proposed conclusions. :laughing I have to confess that the game today caused some real feelings of guilt... because I thought a simple victory at best a 50/50 chance and a rout about as likely as.... well, it wasn't possible. It's A Wonderful Life night. I watch it every year. I have it on my computer. I'm like you, Mama... I have a huge collection in my media library and do not "HAVE" to have internet to watch TV.... Maybe 500 movies? Plus documentaries, a few TV shows, thousands of home videos (mostly grandson football hi-lights but also holidays, birthdays, and just goofing off days). Franco was one of the many non-Rams that I was jealous of. Could not bring myself to hate the guy... even in the SB I couldn't help but admire the guy. 2TD's for Franco that game? Ramgator will correct me if I'm wrong. The Steelers in general? No. They pissed me off. But Franco I couldn't help but like.by JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com
The Hindenburg had survivors, (I've never understand how anyone could have survived that; that was unsurvivable).... so will the Rams.by JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com
I have read the 'worst collapse after winning a SB' and every other post/article regarding the fall from grace..... I'm little effected by them. Obviously 22' was heart-breaking..... but I look no further than the injuries... that explains it in a nutshell; and for me every single other speculation regarding the worth of McVay, Morris, and many of the players really isn't worth much of my tiby JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com
I'm not like Ramgator who can remember every game, every play, in Ram's history..... but wow can I remember the Immaculate Reception... and the Ram's weren't even involved. Of course the 'who did the pass bounce off of' debate cropped up immediately... but I never really got involved in that debate.... too stunned by the play itself. So I'm not that surprised such a friendship came aboutby JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com
It's Christmas... you're supposed to be "Jolly"... Banshee's will NOT make you jolly. :laughing Wait until it's a lousy weather day, your computer is hacked, your car's transmission is out, your roof springs a leak, you get food poisoning... when watch it because things can't get worse. Well, on second thought, watching Banshee's it just might get worse. :laughingby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
I cancelled our land line telephone a very long time ago, years. BUT... it wasn't because I preferred Cell phones - our land line system was ancient... seriously... like late 60's was the last time it was updated? My home town has only around 800 people so we aren't a priority for telephone companies. It wasn't just that we didn't have the new features like call waiting, etc.... which we dby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub

couldn't see a bloody thing. It's the darkest movie ever filmed... think I caught sight of a single semi-less than pitch black pixel but might have just been me squinting too hard. Later saw maybe two pixels less than pitch black and took a guess that it was an obese unicorn having sex with a licentious piece of kiwi fruit but that's only a guess.. and it didn't match the dialog so I think I'mby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub

A few times a year I get online and buy 'bulk' for certain items.... like paper towels, paper plates, toothbrushes and toothpaste, soap.. that kind of stuff. Then I hand some out to family. I NEVER get the right 'stuff'... according to my family. Take this morning, for example... my bulk order of toothbrushes came in and I PROUDLY showed my family that we were all now amply supplied for theby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
