but actually not a 'very' snowy late fall early winter. Some storms on the horizon... and hope they're big ones. As you may know we're out of water in Calif. - JamesJMby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
We have wet and foggy winter days and it's miserable... and has to be experienced to be believed. For example: I used to ski often and thus skied on VERY snowy days with very low temps, and wind... and it wasn't even CLOSE to as miserable as a wet and foggy day watching a football game here with temps ABOVE freezing.by JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
I don't know what you do for a living but how to the people whose jobs are 'outdoors' handle that kind of weather? You gotta have some type of clothing there that we do not have here. The warmest clothing I own doesn't keep me 'warm' in OUR winters... in the weather you have I might as well be naked. - JamesJMby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
Coldest temperatures I was ever in was when I lived in Belmar, NJ and one day it was -17 with the wind chill factor... can't remember what the actual temperature was BUT... it was bloody cold!!!! I can't even imagine -40ยบby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
Only slightly more than what Kroenke paid for the Rams.by JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
Never been in blizzard conditions at that level. The closest I've come is going skiing during a snow storm, (semi-blizzard), and passing car after car after car stuck in a snowbank off the road. :laughingby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
Amazingly close... my finger was hovering over the 'purchase' button for several minutes before I decided "nope, not this year"... the main reason being: The two main home games my family wanted to see were the Broncos, (my daughter's family's favorite team), and the Chargers my other daughter's family's favorite team. Bronco are on Christmas day and the Chargers are on New Year'sby JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com
for all you guys... maybe you could start a GoFundMe with me as the recipient? :laughingby JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com
PromasterJ is right that streaming via your ISP is not as good as DTV... but it's not horrible either. I stream it all... because I can get exactly what DTV offers for a LOT less money. It's not the 'lack of broadband speed' as much as it is the service providing the stream. Example. When I stream moves in 4K from the major providers... like Netflix, HBOMax, Hulu, I almost never get any buffeby JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com
when the shortage hit I stocked up whenever possible.... I'm good EXCEPT for Shotgun shells. I have plenty for home protection but no where near enough to get me thru hunting seasons now and in early 2023. Glad you reminded me... I'll post this message then get online and order some shotgun shells. Here in Calif. the ammo stores are very limited.... you can't really buy in 'bulk' so I haveby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
Our "wet and foggy" weather I'd put up with anyone's 'miserable weather' any day.by JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
the cost of ammo is coming down so it's a good time to find out. :laughingby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
Championship game was yesterday afternoon, we won the tournament.... but I'm posting this because... The game was in Madera, (a town about 15 miles north of us)... so same weather, basically. Mid 50's with lows in the upper 40's.... for me that's frozen tundra weather.... walking into the gym we passed their High Schools swimming pool.... and there were kids IN THE WATER SWIMMING!!!!!!!!!!!!!by JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
Yes it can make whatever is hit lurch backward. I'm enough of a hunter to know that as a fact... also... saw a few gunshot expert videos and they all say the same thing.. yes, it can happen. - JamesJMby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
I don't think there is anything different in the Ram's organization than all the other teams as far as injury prevention. Bad Luck. You need look no further. - JamesJMby JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com
About not understanding people who aren't looking out of the window. I don't think they have normal brains. Seriously... I think it's a serious brain defect. - JamesJMby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
When I viewed all his youtube videos before we drafted him the quality he had that I thought stood out the most was his 'burst' once spotting daylight. He could move east/west and in an instant turn it north/south and at speed. His first year I saw that, somewhat, although less than expected but SINCE... that attribute seems to have disappeared. Drilled out of him? Just lost it? The injuryby JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com
by the number of upgrades the airlines offer/demand. "oh, so you want a seat added to your ticket". Since buying the ticket yesterday evening I've received at least 10 emails, all different, with various options I can add... for a fee. This would be American Airlines and British Airways... but I'm guessing they are all the same. I paid extra when I first purchased the ticket tby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
You're reply just reminded me of it. I think... and many if not most will disagree with this... that today it's more common for the typical fan to root 'against' teams more than for their favorite team. Yes, they have a favorite team and yes, they root for them.... but going by the 'talk' or 'posts on social media' it seems very apparent to me that they are mostly concerned with the 'defeat'by JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com
I think it an extremely difficult if not impossible task to Head Coach AND be the OC, (in everything but name). I think McVay is a great HC so I would NEVER advocate his stepping down and becoming an OC... BUT IF HE DID I think he would be great at it.... and very little like we see with him as HC and OC. - JamesJMby JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com
The women in Japan who dye their hair because they, (many of them), hate that everyone in Japan has black hair. Our foreign exchange student from Japan used to talk about that... how many of her friends would dye their hair various colors to be 'different'. That didn't 'surprise' me but it did make me wince a little because I happen to think that shiny jet black hair color most Japanese womby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
I have posted this story before, I think, a couple times now... BUT.. it's Christmas time, it's been a few years since I last posted this so just in case you did not read it before... here's your chance. I think you will find it rather remarkable because should you read it, as hard as it is to believe... this story is true, it actually happened. because that's what I do. I'm a worry-wort. :laughing Right up front I love McVay as our coach. Needed to make that VERY clear. That said - He does things that confound me, make me shake my head.... and sometimes I'm convinced he makes mistakes, bad ones. Now to point - Say we get that RB you describe - "Bell-cow RB who can block and catch is a great follow-up"... lets eby JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com

To get crushed in the SB... sure, heaven on earth. But I like the game of football. I want to enjoy the SB... even if the Rams are not in it. If the Niners are in it? I'm going to be a basket case wanting them to lose. Not a chance in hell I'll 'rise above it all' and sit back to enjoy a good game of football. It would be a day of anxiety and anguish thru the roof and the only momentby JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com
I haven't given up on Cam. Actually there was some very aggressive play in that GB game.... I mean, they did very badly but there were moments I was proud that they did not wave a white flag.by JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com
